Get Your Swago On In A Winter Wonderland!

Swago: Winter Wonderland

Picture
It's time for you to unwrap your SB bonus this holiday season courtesy of Swagbucks. This month's Winter-themed Swago board offers a possible 300 SB ($3) Bonus!

What is SWAGO you ask? It's a bingo-inspired promotion run by Swagbucks, a website that rewards you with points (called SB) for completing everyday online activities. When you complete a task, watch that square change colors. You can then redeem those SB for free gift cards. If you've never used Swagbucks, participating in SWAGO is a great way to learn how to use the site, and it's a lot of fun!

Here’s what you need to know to get your 300 SB Bonus:

  • Swago will begin on Monday, January 16th at 9:01am PDT/12:01pm EDT, make sure you hit “Join” otherwise you won’t get credit for completing the action items. Each square on your Swago Board will contain an action item to complete.
  • Once you complete the action item in a particular square the square will change color signifying the action item is complete.
  • You have a limited amount of time to mark off as many squares as possible so use your time wisely.
  • Be mindful of the patterns and their corresponding bonuses located on the right of your Swago Board. The patterns will vary in difficulty and bonus value.
  • Once you’ve achieved a pattern the corresponding “Submit” button will light up. You can have multiple patterns available for submission, however, you can only submit ONE pattern so choose wisely.
  • The game ends Monday, January 23rd at 12pm PDT/3pm EDT. So make sure to hit “Submit” on the pattern you wish to submit. If you don’t hit “Submit” before the game ends you won’t receive your SB bonus.

  • I've already joined January's Swago and listed the patterns you can make and the bonuses you can earn by playing the game. I'm so excited to earn even more Swagbucks... let the games begin! Join Swagbucks today and you could be playing and earning, too! :)

HOW I ADDED A CUSTOM BANNER TO MY TEACHERS PAY TEACHERS STORE IN THE PERSONAL QUOTE SECTION

Picture
You will need: Pinterest, PowerPoint, Word, TinyURL, and Teachers Pay Teachers.

First, I created a banner in PowerPoint.
1. Open PowerPoint.
2. Click New.
3. Click Create.
4. I used Microsoft 2007, so I clicked Design and then Page Setup.
5. Click the drop down arrow under Slides sized for: and click Custom.
6. Change the Width: to 4.5 inches and the Height to 1.5 inches.
7. Click OK.
8. Design your banner.
9. Save in PNG format.

Next, I uploaded my picture as a pin to a secret board on Pinterest.
1. Go to Pinterest.
2. Click the plus + sign.
3. Click Upload a Pin.
4. Click Choose image.
5. Find your saved banner PNG image, click it, then click Open.
6. Choose a secret board to pin your image to and click See it now.
7. You want to copy the image address so hover your mouse cursor over your image and right click it. On a PC click Copy image address.
8. Paste this address on TinyURL.
9. Click Make TinyURL!
10. Leave this page open, as you will need the newly created TinyURL image link.

Then, I linked my banner to one of my web pages on Teachers Pay Teachers. Since my banner was about Valentine's Day activities, I decided to link the image to my Valentine's Day products.
1. Open the web page you want to link to your banner image.
2. Copy this web page address.
3. Open TinyURL.
4. Paste this web page address on TinyURL.
5. Click Make TinyURL!
6. Leave this page open, as you will need the newly created TinyURL web page address link.

Now, here is where I brought the two newly created TinyURL links together.
Copy this code (I pasted it in Microsoft Word):

<a href="Paste Your TinyURL Web Page Address Link Here"><img src="Paste Your TinyURL Image Link Here" alt=""Name Your Web Page Link Here"" /></a>

You're going to insert your two newly created TinyURL links in the correct areas in bold. Leave no extra spaces on either end of your links.
1. Copy and paste your TinyURL web page address link in the code.
2. Copy and paste your TinyURL image link in the code.
3. Where it says Name Your Web Page Link Here, just give your web page link a name. For example, I wrote Valentine's Day, because my link is about my Valentine's Day products. Again, leave no spaces on either end of this name.
4. When you're done, copy your whole entire code.

And, finally, Teachers Pay Teachers... you're almost there!
1. Go to Teachers Pay Teachers.
2. Click on your name, and then click on My Account under Account.
3. Next, click on Store Profile.
4. Click EDIT.
5. Finally, paste your whole entire code in the Personal Quote: section.
6. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click SAVE... and you're done!
7. To view your new banner, click on your name, then click on My Store and you should now see your new banner! Clicking on your new banner should take you to the web page address you wanted to link to your image.

Did you find yourself spending a little more than you had anticipated over the Holidays? It's easy to do, especially when you want to give all your friends and family the perfect gifts. Well, I have an easy way for you to recover from your holiday spending from the convenience of your cell phone.

Swagbucks is the web’s most popular rewards program that gives you free gift cards and cash for the everyday things you already do online. Whenever you shop, watch videos or search the web, Swagbucks gives you points called SB. You can use your SB to redeem gift cards to hundreds of your favorite stores.

With the Swagbucks Mobile and SBTV apps I can use my spare minutes to earn free gift cards on my phone! Like the Swagbucks website, I can rack up SB by shopping, answering surveys and watching videos.

Whether you live a busy lifestyle (teachers we can relate to this one!) or you are just a more of an on-the-go or on-the-phone type of individual, Swagbucks has got you covered with the Swagbucks Mobile and SBTV apps!

While you wait for the coffee to brew, download free games and other apps through the Discover tab: 20 SB

During commercial breaks, take a featured survey or fill out your survey profile: 60 SB

While standing in line at the grocery store, answer the daily poll: 1 SB

When you’ve finally made it to the gym, watch style, tech and celeb news through the SBTV app: 2 SB for every 10 videos

Just as you’ve put dinner in the oven, your Swagbucks app tells you there’s a new Swag Code!: 3 SB

Before you go to sleep, use the Swagbucks app to shop from your favorite stores. You deserve it!: 100 SB

By downloading the Swagbucks mobile app, I can earn a free $10 gift card by the end of my week. Who knew playing on my phone could be so productive!

Invite your friends to download the Swagbucks Mobile app so they can start earning their way to free gift cards. It's 100% free to download and 100% easy to use. Its available for both iPhone and Android devices.

Winter is here my teacher friends! One of my favorite things about using Swagbucks is that I can get rewards for searching the web through their search engine. Who knew web searching could be this much fun AND rewarding? Well, every now and then they have "Collector's Bills" worth bonus SB points that you can collect by simply searching the web. Collect them all, and you get an SB Bonus! Are you short on classroom supplies? Swagbucks is here to help! Once you've collected enough SB, you can redeem them for gift cards to stores like Walmart, Target, and many more! We all know as teachers that every little bit helps... so join Swagbucks today and get that classroom stocked up again!

Here's all the information for this week's Snow Much Fun Collector's Bills:
Search the web through the Swagbucks search starting Monday, January 2nd through Sunday, January 8th, and when you get a search win, you may get a special Collector’s Bill valued at either:
  • 5 SB
  • 7 SB
  • 9 SB
  • 11 SB
  • 16 SB
  • 22 SB
When you get a Collector’s Bill you’ll receive the value of the bill and the bill will be added to your “Collector’s Bills” ledger. Collect all 6 Collector’s Bills and you’ll instantly earn a 20 SB Bonus!
Keep searching til you find them all!
